Gyumri High School №2 was established in 1927. It has a rich history, good traditions and a high rating. With its 92 years of history, the school has distinguished itself with a high level of teaching and discipline. Aesthetic, military-patriotic, spiritual, moral and physical education is based on high standards.

Since 2010 the school has had the status of a high school, where education is carried out in general, humanitarian and natural-mathematical classes. The pupils of the school regularly participate in regional, republican contests, Olympiads and various events and are awarded honorary prizes. 90% of school graduates continue their education in leading universities of Armenia and abroad.

Qualified and skilled professionals teach at school; all of them were trained and certified under the program “Quality and Efficiency of Education”. 5 of the staff are training teachers, other 5 have qualification degrees.

At present, the number of schoolchildren is 444. The school principle is Hovhannes Petrosyan who was awarded “The Best Principle of the Republic” in 2009.
