Yerevan Basic School № 92 after Vahan Tekeyan is situated in the District of Malatia-Sebastia. It was founded in 1954 and proudly continues its half-century history and educates talented and skilled younger generation, patriotic Armenians. This is proved by the school “Hall of Fame” dedicated to Ararat-Mkhitar Elbakyan and Hrachya Sargsyan, the martyred heroes of the Artsakh War.
Since its foundation the school has had experienced principles amongst who are P. Mambreyan, P. Papikyan, B. Zaqaryan, A. Khalatyan, Ts. Mardanyan.
In 1978 the school was named after Vahan Tekeyan and the monument by the RA honored Armenian sculptor Levon Tokmajyan found its worthy place in the school park.
V. Tekeyan School permanently gets support from the Tekeyan Centre Fund; schoolchildren are regularly involved in the Fund's projects, besides, the school building conditions are gradually being improved.
In 2014 the school was supplemented with pre-school education. It was also one of the first who responded to the pilot project “National Songs and Dances at school”. The school celebrates all the national holidays and memorial days and never breaks the tradition of organizing the year-end exhibitions at the school’s Fine Arts Gallery, where hand-made works by gifted pupils are exposed.
