Karbi Secondary School was founded in 1973. In 1989 the school was named after Vahan Tekeyan. Thanks to Arsen Ohanyan who has been the school principle for many years, the school has had many achievements and great success as well as established strong ties with the Tekeyan Centre Fund.

Stepanavan Secondary School №6 was founded in 1992. For six years it functioned in awful building conditions, then in 2004 a new modern block with large, light and cozy classrooms, laboratories for chemistry and biology, and an IT classroom, was built. In 2011 the building of another school block with gyms, event halls, a large library, canteen and sports ground was completed.

It was founded in 1954 and proudly continues its half-century history and educates talented and skilled younger generation, patriotic Armenians. This is proved by the school “Hall of Fame” dedicated to Ararat-Mkhitar Elbakyan and Hrachya Sargsyan, the martyred heroes of the Artsakh War.
