School Renovation

Numerous studies indicate that there is a link between student achievement and the condition of school buildings and facilities. The TCF’s project “School Renovation” aims at providing children with acceptable conditions and comfortable environment. When children suffer from cold, discomfort in the classroom, they are unable to concentrate and learn. Our priority is to secure the tools necessary for better performance and well-being.

The TCF relies on the generosity of its donors to cover the maintenance costs and to address the problems our schools face.

With considerable support of benefactors, the TCF managed to give a helpful hand to V. Tekeyan School #92 in Yerevan. The school was provided with new heating system and gas supply. The windows were renovated and the school library was done up.

In close cooperation with the British Embassy in Armenia and the Tekeyan Trust London, the TCF also managed to implement a few projects, including heating for the Lord Byron School in Gyumri.

Thanks to benefactors, the roof and a classroom in Tekeyan School in the village of Karbi as well as two classrooms in Berdzor Tekeyan School were repaired.

Thus, up to now the total budget of the TCF's project “School Renovation” is about AMD 40 million.
