Baroness Cox visited Tekeyan Centre

The Tekeyan Centre Fund (TCF) was honored to welcome Baroness Caroline Cox, an independent member of the UK House of Lords, former Deputy Speaker, and a human rights campaigner, along with the representatives of the Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART), founded by Baroness in 2003. Recently, TCF and HART have been collaborating to implement humanitarian programmes for displaced people of Artsakh.
First, the guests visited the exhibition “Artsakh Lives on” presented by the Union of Artsakh Artists and hosted by the TCF. The exhibition featured artworks (paintings, embroideries, carpets, pottery, etc.) made by displaced Artsakh children as well as the photographs of Artsakh cultural and historical monuments taken by journalist Zohrab Erkoyan.
The meeting was also attended by the trustees of the TCF Board Bagrat Nazarian (England) and Ruben Mirzakhanyan (Armenia), as well as London-based Armenian benefactor Tony Kahve, founding president of the Multichildren Family Foundation of Kashatagh Professor Gurgen Melikyan, and Vardan Tadevosyan, the founder and director of the Lady Cox Rehabilitation Centre in Stepanakert.
During the meeting, the educational, cultural, and social activities of the TCF were presented. The parties also focused on humanitarian programmes assisting displaced Artsakh families. The meeting also covered planned activities implemented by HART in Armenia. The participants exchanged views on the current security and humanitarian situation in Armenia and expressed deep gratitude to Baroness Cox for her consistent support to Artsakh and Armenian people.

TCF Director Armen Tsulikyan and Trustee Bagrat Nazarian awarded Caroline Cox with TCF & TTL Medal and Certificate in appreciation of the praiseworthy services and philanthropic activities on behalf of Armenia and Artsakh for many years. Ruben Mirzakhanyan, President of the Tekeyan Cultural Association of Armenia, presented Baroness Cox with a plaque of honor for her honorable and unwavering support to Armenian people.
In her response, Baroness Cox expressed her profound appreciation, stating: "The world should be grateful to the Armenian people, who stand at the forefront of preserving freedom, civilization, and Christianity."
