The Tekeyan Centre Fund, summing up the results of its 2022 activity, is moving forward remaining true to its mission and policy, and implementing humanitarian, cultural, educational programs formed over the years. 2022 was no exception; so, many charitable programs were accomplished. |
Among the important cultural achievements of the past year were: the publication of the first book of the three-volume edition titled "Vahan Tekeyan; Collection of Articles" authored by Varduhi Davtyan; "The Armenian Soul: Western Armenian Poets in Songs", a musical evening presented by the well-known songwriter Berge Turabian and the singer Nairi Gasparyan, "ABG and Friends", an exhibition in collaboration with the Association of Armenian Caricaturists; Zohrab Erkoyan’s solo photo exhibition titled “Armenian Kashatagh”, in cooperation with H.Tumanyan museum. The Fund also sponsored the "Fine Photography" nomination of the TCA’s "Vahan Tekeyan" annual international award.
In 2022 the TCF hosted and assisted a number of organisations and individuals to organise book presentations /”Maghavuz” authored by leynad Danielyan, “The Origins of National Identity” authored by Hamlet Martirosyan, "The Armenian Officers of the WWI" authored by Amatuni Virabyan and Sonya Mirzoyan/, exhibitions /Victor Danilov’s solo exhibition, "My Great Contemporaries" by RA Artist Anatoli Avetyan/, movie screening / “Dilemma” directed by Karen Gevorgyan/.
Since 2010 the TCF’s main charitable objective in the sphere of education has been the assistance to the most socially disadvantaged schoolchildren. Due to the school project “Free Textbooks 2022/2023” there were totally 150 needy schoolchildren from Yerevan, Gyumri, Stepanavan and Karbi village, who have been granted 1,961 textbooks for free. The TCF also assisted to the organisation of the essay competition "Hagop Bogossian Grant - 2022", as well as provided technical support to Paruyr Sevak village school in Ararat Region.
Throughout the year 2022, within the frames of the programme "Support to Our Compatriots from Artsakh" initiated by the TCF since the 44-day War, humanitarian aid (totally 14.5 tons of food and basic essentials) was provided to 338 Armenian families displaced from Artsakh and settled in Charentsavan and Hrazdan communities.
In conclusion, it should be mentioned that these are just some of the Fund's programmes implemented in 2022. This year, the TCF intends to continue the realization of its mission and goals through the diversity of its activities.
