The 10th Annual General Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Tekeyan Centre Fund took place in London. The founding members summed up the Fund’s 2010 activities; the total charity activity budget was AMD 12 million. The Fund’s Chairman Mr V. Ouzounian and the Director A. Tsulikyan presented their reports on the work done and spoke about the achievements and the problems of the Fund. They specified the project “Support to Armenian Schools” and characterised the year 2010 as an unprecedented year of improvement and trust.
In 2010 the Fund closely cooperated with Tekeyan schools and realized its goal to promote education and interrelations among schools, their staff and schoolchildren.
Based on the successful experience of the previous year as well as on positive responses both from schools and governing educational institutions, the Board of the Fund made a decision to follow the adopted policy concerning the Fund’s activity and Tekeyan schools and to implement a number of educational, cultural and sports events in 2011 increasing the number of participants.

At the meeting the trustees discussed and tried to find a solution to a number of problems that Tekeyan schools face. Various proposals were made, resolutions were passed and some instructions were given to the Fund Director.
In 2011 Tekeyan Centre Fund intends to provide the needy schoolchildren of Armenia and Artsakh with free textbooks. Another project of the Fund is the “Archives Library” which is to compile and store at Tekeyan Centre historical documents, materials about the Diaspora organisations and individuals who did community, cultural, political work for the benefits of the nation. The archives library will contribute to the future of each Diaspora community and the Armenian nation in whole.
The Board also discussed a number of financial, legal and other issues and and thanked the Chair and the Director of the Fund for making great efforts to develop Tekeyan Centre as a fund and to improve its activity.
